Guelph resident Dave Nash, right, is making an attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the Fastest Crossing of Canada on Foot by a male. Nash is attempting to break this record to bring awareness to the country of the need for equal shared parenting.
Nash is pushing for the country’s support of a private members bill, Bill C-422 on Equal Shared Parenting.
With a personal history of child custody issues, Nash says he’s not just pushing for the rights of fathers, he’s pushing for the rights of the children first and foremost, as well as equal rights to both mothers and fathers.

He will end his run in Cape Spear, Newfoundland, with help from many local residents along the way who have heard about his cause.
